Cheryl is a proud product of a public school education and her children attend public school as well. As a parent, she actively participated in school activities while managing her small law firm.

 

As an attorney for over 30 years, she has honed her advocacy skills which have been a valuable asset to the Board of Education.

 

While Cheryl only moved to Winsted five years ago, she has a strong devotion to her adopted hometown. Cheryl has served on the Board of Education for four years and is looking forward to her second term.

Renee Waldron

Renata "Renée" Waldron

for Board of Education

Renée was born in Poland and came to the United States at the age of three. She has lived in Winsted for 22 years. Renée has worked in education since 1990, first as a paraprofessional then as teacher.

 

During her 17 years as a special education teacher at Torrington High School, she taught in a variety of classroom settings. Currently, she is the Out of District Coordinator for Torrington Public Schools. Renée was recently appointed to the Winsted Area Child Care Center Board of Directors.

 

She is married to Jarod Waldron who has a long history of family ties in Winsted. Renée is most proud of her three children all of whom attended the Winchester Public Schools.
